Bill Smith, a Civil Engineering graduate of Metropolitan State College, Denver, is a twenty four-year veteran of the construction industry with eighteen years of experience in project management. His experience includes designing and building projects of widely diverse construction types and sizes.
Bill began his career as an Estimator and Design Engineer in 1979 while working on his Civil Engineering degree. After graduation in 1985 he embarked on a career path in project management which emphasized design/build and fast track projects that led him from Denver, Colorado; to Orlando, Florida; and eventually to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1991.
Bill has completed a multitude of projects including hotels, learning centers, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, television stations, theme parks, shopping centers, warehouses, water/waste-water treatment plants. Most of these projects were design/build on which Bill directly managed the efforts of the design team. Numerous projects were fast-track and, depending on size, varied from 3 months to 1 year schedules.
Bill joined the Reid & Associates team in March of 1998,excited to become part of an aggressive and progressive Design/Builder with strong local influence in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Since 2001, Bill has been Vice President of Construction and Design and in 2004 became Executive Vice President.
